Vintage particle detector from University of Cincinnati physics department. This has been cannibalized for parts and is likely incomplete, but was a custom particle detector of some sort. I have tested it for radiation/radioactivity, and it did not register anything above background. It's a cool piece with what I believe to be some gold mesh and other interesting metals involved in its construction. It would look great on the shelf or desk of a science enthusiast.
