Vintage bus stop bench signage for The Alley Chicago. The Alley is a counterculture boutique, established in 1971. It is inseparable from the Chicago punk rock and goth scenes. The store uses bus stop bench advertising throughout the city and this is one such example, probably from late 1980s or early 1990s. It features the iconic Chicago cop jackets, motorcycle jackets, and safe sex message. The Alley sold vintage Chicago Police jackets and reproductions. The drill holes are from screws to attach to bus stop. Graphic in red, black, and eggshell. Approximately 7' wide and 2' tall. This piece is in super condition for a collector of punk memorabilia, Chicago history, or advertising. From a closing industrial facility.
Set for local pickup only, but we are open to shipping it, but be forewarned that the cost will be significant, because this is a large sign.
